If you love Greyhounds,
you are going to LOVE this!!

This beautiful stained glass measures 35-1/2" x 19" and was donated by Tony & Judy Mills of Abilene, KS.

Artist's Description:
This stained glass greyhound is a one of a kind piece. It is an original design and took many hours to get the greyhound pattern just right to our liking. The glass that I chose for the greyhound body is a beautiful "brindle" color. Each piece was carefully chosen to get the brindle to go the right way on the body. I have put approximately 35-40 hours into this piece of stained glass, plus the cost of all materials. It is the old method of doing glass work, it is actually called leaded glass. I have hand cut and foiled every piece and then soldered it all together. It has beautiful flowing lines on both sides, not just the front. My husband, Tony, made the solid oak frame that it is in. Pictures really don't do this piece justice, the sun shining through it is spectacular!

100% of the proceeds of this Stained Glass will be used to send retired Kansas Greyhounds into adoption group across the US and Canada!

The drawing will be held at Greyhound Support's 3rd Annual Reunion picnic on May 3, 2008.
